UL certification process
1 the applicant to fill in the UL application form, the application form, product manual and technical documents in conjunction with fax or send to us.
2 technical documentation to be provided by the applicant:
A. product instruction.
B. security design documents (including the key structural map, which can reflect the distance, the gap, the insulation layer and the thickness of the design plan)
C. product technical conditions (or enterprise standards).
D. product electrical diagram.
E. product line.
F. the list of key components or raw materials (please choose a product with the UL certification mark).
G. machine or safety components / raw material certification copy.
H. description / related information - the name of the product and its intended use, including the model, the appropriate series of descriptions and lists. If an application for different models of the same product, detailed description of other types and specify the similarities and differences of the prototype, which helps to reduce the test time and reduce test cost.
3 according to the information provided by the applicant (in English), UL will determine the appropriate testing standards and conduct a quotation (excluding the cost of the first inspection of the factory).
4 if the applicant accepts the offer, then check the quotation sheet.
5 UL issued a formal agreement (Agreements).
6 read and sign the application form carefully and follow up the service agreement, and pay the test fee and the fee (RMB) as required. Send / send to the designated laboratory as required.
7 product inspection, such as the product does not meet the requirements, the UL meeting to notify the applicant, the description does not meet the requirements, the applicant needs to decide whether to change or re - send.
8 product testing, UL factory inspection department to visit the factory, to determine whether the production process requirements (IPI). IPI through, the applicant can be accompanied by UL logo products shipped.
10 UL factory inspection department will regularly visit the factory to help your company products listed continuously to meet the safety requirements of UL.
11. Note: components / raw materials - please provide your product safety components list or material sheet, containing the name of the manufacturer, model specifications, or his ratings, and whether made to UL recognition or column names. We provide a blank element / list of raw materials for your reference.
